Celebrate Insect Week on a midsummer walk to spot pollinators on wildflowers and other insects in the wonderful woods of Potarch.
This open woodland is a haven for wildlife and we may also see red squirrels and birds such as great spotted woodpeckers. If time permits we may also walk a short way along the riverbanks to see some of the special flora and fauna there.
The route is about 6km/4 miles long, mostly level with some gradual ascent/descent, mainly on good forest tracks and paths, more or less following https://themackwalks.wordpress.com/2019/10/07/092-potarch-bridge-craigmore-circular-aberdeenshire/
Meet at Potarch Green car park.
