microWIld: Adult Big Safari

Join us at microWild on June 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM (IST) for a fun and laid-back bug safari just for adults! Explore the fascinating world of insects up close, share laughs, and learn cool facts in a relaxed setting. Perfect for nature lovers looking to connect and discover something new. Don’t miss out on this unique adventure!

Your guides, microWild founder and invertebrate naturalist, Brian Murray, along with Collie Ennis (Ireland’s amphibian and arachnid expert), will lead you on an exciting journey to observe and learn about these tiny (and sometimes not-so-tiny) creatures up close.

We will turn over rocks and logs, catch flying bugs with our nets, and even see which types of bugs are swimming in the microWild pond. We might even dissect some poo! Noice!

All equipment necessary for the day will be provided by microWild, including nets, magnifiers, collecting pots, and sample trays, as well as tea, coffee and biscuits. All you need to bring is a good set of walking boots and a sense of awe and adventure!

As paradoxical as it sounds, though, please bring insect repellent for yourself as horseflies may be present at this time of year.
