London Fields BioBlitz 2024

New wildlife spaces in London Fields were created in 2023 with funding from the Greater London Assembly “Grow Back Greener fund”.  The project enhanced several areas for biodiversity, and also created new habitats including a pond, woodland area, native wildflower meadow, standing deadwood, loggeries, scrubland amongst others.

The London Fields BioBlitz 2024 will be the first annual event to record and monitor wildlife in the new areas created.  We would like to create an overview of plants and invertebrates on the new sites, to set a baseline, whilst also generating public awareness in this busy London park.
