The Irish Entomological Network, in collaboration with the Royal Entomological Society, is delighted to host a national student webinar on the 25 June 2026 showcasing the next generation of entomological researchers in Ireland.
This event is designed for fourth‑year undergraduates and PhD students based in Ireland working in any area of entomology, from ecology, taxonomy, behaviour, and physiology to conservation, agriculture.
Participants will deliver short, engaging presentations highlighting their current research progress, offering a unique opportunity to practice scientific communication in a supportive community environment.
The webinar aims to:
- Provide students with a platform to present their ongoing research
- Foster connections and collaboration across institutions
- Celebrate the diversity of entomological research taking place in Ireland
- Encourage discussion, feedback, and peer learning
