Insect Week Pollinator Party

Join us for Insect Week to discover the pollinators who enjoy the wildlife planting in the picnic area at The Lodge.

Friendly staff and volunteers will be on hand to encourage children to ‘bee curious’ and take a closer look at the fantastic array of invertebrates.  Children will be getting hands on, hunting for insects with sweep nets, bug pots and magnifying glasses through the flower beds and long grass near the Gatehouse Shop.

There will also be an opportunity to craft a simple bug hotel to take home and encourage these fantastic creatures into your garden or outside space.

A perfect adventure for children aged 4-11 years. Children under the age of 4 years are free to attend but the activity may not be suitable for them. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Car parking charges still apply for event attendees.  Car parking is £7.50 for Non-members (covering one vehicle & all occupants) for the entire day’s visit to the reserve.  Car parking is free for RSPB Members.
