Meet at the Pelham-Clinton Building at 10:00am.
Our day begins with Meet a Moth, where we’ll discover what has been attracted to the light trap overnight and learn more about these remarkable nocturnal insects.
We’ll then enjoy a special behind-the-scenes tour of the BENHS collections, including the opportunity to see beetle expert Peter Hodge at work relabelling specimens.
In the afternoon, we’ll head out into the park to look for insects in their natural habitats. With a large lake, grassland and mature trees to explore, there’s no shortage of wildlife to discover!
What to bring:
• Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for the weather
• Any field equipment or identification guides you have (optional)
• A packed lunch, or you can purchase refreshments from the park café
Cost: Free to attend
Please note: Car parking charges apply
