Bioblitz Walthamstow Marshes

Walthamstow Marshes is home to some 500 species of plants and animals. We’re hosting a Bioblitz to try and collect data to use for future management. This event is aimed at getting people out and in nature, learning ID skills from the Rangers and biodiversity team here at the Lee valley. It’s also aimed at those who already have great plant and animal knowledge who can contribute time and energy into cataloguing the many species we have on the marshes. We want to know evvvvrything! Plant, insect and animals of all types.

All materials will be provided with the simple methodology explained to everyone who wants to get involved. There will be a number of free guided walks related to the specific environment of the marshes and an opportunity to speak to the Ranger about the local area. We can’t wait to see you there!
