Take part in this year’s Forest BioBlitz

BioBlitz 2023 is a jam-packed event, a race against the clock to discover as many species of plants, animals, and fungi as possible, within a set location, in 24 hours. With unique surveys and fun experiences there is something here for everyone.

This year our BioBlitz starts on Friday 30th June and finishes on Saturday 1st July.

Last year wildlife experts and the public came together and in 24 hours recorded 363 different plant and animal species in a section of the Heart of England Forest! This year we hope to find even more, so do come and join us to help create a snapshot of the rich biodiversity that can be found in Giddings wood. It is a fun way to learn together and share enthusiasm for nature.

We welcome experts, complete newbies, and everyone in between. You can take part in as many sessions as you like, but remember you can’t be in two places at once. So, take a look at the list to find out what’s on and book your place.
