Introduction to Butterfly and Bird “squares” – Online Workshop/Drop-in session

Butterfly Conservation and BTO (British Trust for Ornithology) both use a 1km grid square method with a planned out walking route to survey for butterflies and birds at different times of the year.

This workshop is open to existing volunteers from each organisation to brush up on ID, ask questions and to completely new comers who are simply curious to know more and get involved.

The session will include an introduction to each survey method and a bit on how to ID species. Online only.
